I spent hour upon hours searching for the best steamvac in my price range. This one is a little spendy but definitely worth the price. It was able to remove plenty of filth from my carpets after I had just shampooed them with an average shampooer. My entire house is carpeted so I haven't been able to test its performance on other surfaces but Im sure it works wonders. My only two complaints are that the buckets due tend to leak a little (very little) and the hand tool is a little bulky which was only an issue when trying to shampoo small crevices in my vehicle. Great product that will last for years!

The Hoover SteamVac F7452900 does an absolutely great job. Not only does it do a great job at cleaning carpets in the home, but it did a tremendous job of cleaning the carpets in our cars. A bonus is it does a tremendous job on upholstery. Previously I would rent a cleaner from our local grocery store. Big difference. The Hoover leaves the carpet much dryer. After three or four hours, the carpet is dry vs. the grocery store model which would take 24 hours to dry. An added bonus is that the Hoover SteamVac automatically mixes the proper amount of detergent with water...NO pre mixing and measuring. I have NOT tried it on our tile flors. The All-Terrain feature also works on bare floors. I do not see an advantage with the Hoover vs. a conventional mop and bucket.

This powerful home steam vacuum saves you the expense and hassle of having to rent a steam cleaner and keeps rugs, upholstery, and bare floors (other than hardwoods) looking like new. The powerful 12-amp motor combined with five spinning brushes that operate at either high or low speed lift the usual dirt and grime out of carpets. By pulling on the trigger in the comfortable upright handle, this deep cleaner releases the included carpet/upholstery cleaner and hot tap water. For more stubborn stains or for high-traffic areas, this SteamVac also has a Clean Surge feature, which sends an extra blast of cleaning solution into the stain by simply pressing a button on the handle. When cleaning is complete, release the trigger and the SteamVac forces hot air into the cleaning path so you can do a few dry strokes over the stain. This deep cleaner has two separate water tanks to keep clean water apart from dirty water. Outstanding! Finally, our product research as to which carpet cleaner to purchase paid off. We almost purchased a cleaner prior to investigating product reviews; in fact, the particular cleaner we almost purchased had unfavorable reviews. The Hoover F5914-900 received the highest consumer ratings. Finally, we discovered a product particularly easy to assemble and use without difficulty. Moreover, in our new Hover upright carpet cleaner, there are no hoses needed to connect from the machine to your sink faucet; in direct contrast, in our former Bissell cleaner. Surprisingly, the Hoover cleaner was able to remove several set in stains - which we had attempted to remove several times prior, without success. Important tips: we fill our container with 5 oz of the Hoover Pet and Stain Remover solution and 5 oz of the Hoover High Traffic solution, next pour 1/3 with cool water, then fill the remainder with almost boiling water. Also, when using the cleaner, move slowly and overlap by one inch - cleaning in sections. Once you have sprayed solution onto the carpet, it is imperative to repeatedly extract the solution until you can no longer see any liquid being drawn into the cleaner. Given these facts, we will strongly recommend to our family, friends and neighbors to purchase this superior product.
